Time for COMPRESSION?

While a remaining few continue to fantasize that a Prop. 2 1/2 Override will overcome the fiscal mismanagement and the failure to plan by the current Board of Selectmen, with oil hovering at $100 per barrel, that myth is clearly destroyed.

The need to economize begins with the need for action by the Board of Selectmen now.

For several years, the cost savings issues have been commented on, but resulted in inaction.

The G&E outsources their bills. The Town Treasurer introduced a lock box system.

Additional cost reductions that reduce the duplication need to be introduced and implemented now so that the budget shortfalls for next year's budget a manageable without Bridgewater's disasterous results.

The IT issues have been discussed, with no results. Not one of the Selectmen possesses the expertise to implement change, but Selectman Spataro continues to speak of 'COMPRESSION.' Isn't this one place to make that 'COMPRESSION' successful, Mr. Spataro?

Didn't the IT Director publicly state that a calendar would be added to the Town's Web Site? Where is it?

Much of the information on the Town's Web site is inaccurate or outdated. Does that 'SELL' our Town? How many jokes have been made about the site?

Take a look at other Town's sites to see compare what your tax dollars are funding.

Should we add the IT Department to the Library Department, Mr. Spataro? Compression, money savings? What do you think? That site looks pretty effective. The Annual Town Meeting Warrant and the STM Warrant were posted there before they were posted on the Town's Web Site.
