A review of Middleboro's Official Web Site, long the target of jokes because of its pathetic presentation, user unfriendly layout, and much inaccurate information, does not yet contain any Selectmen's Meeting Minutes for the month of November 2007.
Nor does it contain any Agenda. At least we may be spared the cutesy layouts of yore, but how about Agendas?
Can someone please volunteer to show the Town's IT Director, Mr. Brunelle how to post information so that he may take the two minutes required to show new employees?
It should be noted that the Town Charter is posted under the 'Information' listing. The pdf format is not usable, so one should still continue to refer to mrmiddleboro, but at least someone figured out how to post it.
The Calendar that the Town was assured is still not present. The By Laws are still not posted.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT even consider removing one word of your blog because of critics who can not face the truth of your words.
There will be litigation, but I assure you that the defendant will be the very person who has been threatening bloggers and posters in this town for months. Tonight I finally reached the saturation point of reading "INFLAMMATORY, DEFAMATION, LIBELOUS, SUE, SUE, SUE...." I was personally threatened some time back by this venomous knight of Wikipedia. What she is unaware of is that I saved to disk every word of our exchanges. Problem for this crusader is that she inadvertently slipped and blatantly posted something that denigrated my character. So, tonight I consulted an attorney and decided to pursue the very charges of defamation of character she keeps crying wolf about------against her. In court the administrator of the forum this woman posts on will be forced to reveal her identity (IPs can be traced, even if they are anonymous proxy servers). You know, what goes around, comes around. All I want is to see this woman silenced, once and for all.
I am familiar with the board under discussion. What I find sad is that the moderator now nicknamed "Queen Bee" seems to be enjoying her new found notoriety. Most of her posts are negative and chastising. How many people have left the forum because they don't want to read the rantings of a "Board Nanny?" At least 12 that I can count, perhaps more during periods of time when I have ignored the forum. I feel sorry for this person because I don't think she fully appreciates the negative impact she's having on the community. Spreading anger and hate is not productive.
How many people left because of fear of unwarranted legal consequences?

from this poster, there were some pro community individuals who believed that they or their families would suffer for their opinions on the casino, which was constantly twisted into untrue and ridiculous accusations of stalking.
In my opinion, a threat of prosecution or defamation of character to an innocent person is worse than a threat of violence. Physical injuries could heal in weeks, the damage to a person's reputation could last for years.
But a threat is a threat just the same.
And as most of us know, there were several threatening statements made by this person.
My family is ascared of expressing our opinions about the casino now. Midleboro just ain't the same plase it used to be. Its terrible to live this way.
The "queen bee" gets a bee in her bonnet if she even thinks your anti casino...what I find to be ironic is that she accuses posters of abuse and defamation of character, yet she is so ignorant she cannot see that she is actually the inflamatory abusive poster. Not to mention, as a moderator she should try a bit harder to follow the rules of the board she is moderating - if an anti even breaths the wrong way she threatens to boot them off the board -- gee, but lets not forget this is a "friendly" forum where all are welcome...Regarding all her comments about Gladys and the CFO, I think she is jealous, green with envy that people are actually getting involved and realizing the negative impacts this casino will have.

When some people are put in the public spotlight that they have sought and have an opportunity to lead, they rise to the purpose and accomplish unpredictable and great, positive things.
In this case, Mr. Bond has proven repeatedly that, given the opportunity he sought, he has created animosity, fanned the flames of his own paronoia, created enemies from dissent, and sold his soul.
Each public comment he utters further confirms his failure.
That he would continue to stoke the fires by deliberately feeding distorted and inaccurate information to a dysfunctional person and cease to correct the matter that he was fully aware of, has clearly revealed his true lack of character more fully than could have been explained to you.
While some rise to a challenge, Mr. Bond has sunk to its depths.
It could have been different, but it was his choice.
What I would like to say to the two individulas who are posing threats they in no way can live up to my mother would slap me right across the face for and yet there must be a way to respond and not upset mom? I am extremely glad to see that attorneys are now getting openly invoved. This insanity must stop. Had I been asked my very first suggestion to the owner of the site that is attempting to take himself to National Prominence would have been told he is transparent and as such should remove himself from the situation ASAP by eliminating a certain moderator from his site. In choosing not to do so I now see the National Prominence he sought serving him in the negative. I have been silent for a bit as I found myself unable to engage in a manner acceptable to most, perhaps that was wrong on my part. It is never too late to make up for my silence and trust me I have broad shoulders and have dealt with the likes of that certain keyboard commando and her video rangers. With all the sincerity I can muster what I need to say now is Back off Mike back way off and use what you possess of that God given ability to think. As for the moderator in question insanity is a viable defense. I would teastify on your behalf that you have a condition. By the way. I have worked in behavioral medicine and I have a level of credibilty having testified in courts on exactly this type of matter before. Have a nice day
Jessie, thanks for all you have done to heighten awareness in our town, it was a long time coming for me but it is here and it isn't leaving.
