Middleboro's Bogus Route 44 Traffic Survey

Frank pointed out to me tonight on our way home from the Casinofacts event at the Fireside (sorry to all who missed the packed house, great music, good company!) how flawed the traffic survey is.
We've mostly ignored the counters and failed to inquire about the length of their stay, but this was a 4 day 'Holiday' week and traffic seems to be a bit 'light.' + $3.00 a gallon gas might be partially to blame.
Want a fair & representative TRAFFIC COUNT? How about July & August when there's a steady stream of cars, trucks, boats, motor homes, trailers, campers, 18 wheelers hauling gravel and all manner of vehicles on Route 44 from the Taunton Green to Plymouth ?
When a REPORT is produced and someone proclaims the results, keep in mind when the count was accomplished.

You raise a good point here. I didn't really think about the timing of the survey until now..but have noticed the counters. Conducting a traffic survey on a 4 day work week in November is certainly going to give different results if the survey is done at the peak of tourist season....July sounds good. Well, I guess we should be happy that this survey isn't going on the week between Christmas and the New Year...

secret society ?
Conspiracy Theory, Mike?
Your comment is reminiscent of the Conspiracy Theory you invented and publicized about casinofacts when Peter Kinney of CCToday broke the story about Glenn Marshall's rape conviction and lies about his military service.
Thanks for the laugh!
Sleep deprivation causes paranoia and flawed thinking. Rather than surfing and blogging at 1 AM, perhaps you should avail yourself of some much needed sleep.
My comment was an observation.
The Traffic Survey is BOGUS being conducted at this time of year.
Please keep watching and participating! Thanks for your interest!
