Middleboro & Quarterly Billing & Assessors

At the 11/5 STM, the Assessor was denied her solitary
campaign for an additional employee based on quarterly
tax billing.

The elected Board of Assessors were conspicuous in their
absence and silence.

Have they conducted any research among communities
that have implemented quarterly billing? It has been
suggested that the Assessors don't require additonal
employees.

Is it only Middleboro or Ms. Erikson?

Narry a question was heard from the BOS questioning that the
number of structures won't change and her statutory time
requirements won't change.

And her argument remained unconvincing.

BTW, you might want to question why the Assessors continue
to receive funds to 'set the tax rate.' Didn't they receive
~ $300K in the spring? And they received additional at the
11/5 STM? Other towns don't do this.
