Middleboro Town Web Site

Middleboro's Town Web Site, long the butt of jokes because of its pathetic state, seems to stand as a statement of the Town.
.
The library has posted their links. As has the School Dept.
Absent a calendar that the IT Director indicated would be added to the site, the Town Planner posts AGENDAS.
.
Lack of regularly scheduled agendas seems to indicate the Selectmen don't meet.
.
Job openings: Wastewater Division and Conservation, but did you see the postings for Town Manager, Town Accountant, or Selectmen's Secretary? Or the land auctions?
.
Has anyone noticed that Middleboro seems to have no Finance Committee? If you find it listed, could you please let me know?
.
Do you think if the town had a computer savvy BOS this might change? What could voters do to change this? What has to be done to provide information to townspeople?
.

The issue with the town web site IS NOT a technology issue. There are templates the town could use that are a vast improvement over the current site.
Another issue is that the web site is hosted at the town hall. This is an invitation for hackers to access the town’s computer systems. The cost of having the town web site hosted by a company that provides that service can be as little as $10 per month.
In the computer industry this could be considered a picnic error. (Problem In Chair Not In Computer)

WHY? Can't Mr. Brunelle solve this problem? Isn't he the real man and hero of the computer world in town? From what we understand he is paid extremely handsomely for a job. Also, has he ever been repaid for the trash barrells, etc. he purchased for the special town meeting last June? I would safely say, I'm sure he's been repaid and then some. Did he get to keep the materials he paid for after getting reimbursed or is that now town property? God only knows his wife has enough baggage to fill many trash barrels.
